Use your UMe card
...without using your UMe card

UMe is excited to offer Apple’s safe and convenient payment method known as—you guessed it—Apple Pay®!

With Apple Pay®, you can use your iPhone or other compatible device to make payments with your UMe card without ever showing, swiping or inserting it.

Setting up Apple Pay® is easy:

  • iPhone® and iPad®: open Passbook and enter your card information.
  • Apple Watch®: open the Apple Watch® app on your paired iPhone®.

How do I verify my UMe card?
As you set up Apple Pay®, you’ll need to verify your credit union info. Usually this step happens automatically, but some users may be asked to contact us for validation. Just give us a call, and we’ll be happy to help.

You will get an email to verify that you are all set up!

If you ever get an email notification saying your UMe card has been activated with Apple Pay® but you haven’t tried to set it up, block your card and contact us immediately.

How does Apple Pay® work?
If you’re making a purchase at a store, look for the Apple Pay® symbol at checkout, and hold your phone up to the reader. Then verify your identity with Touch ID and wait for the phone to vibrate or beep. That’s it!

If you’re paying with your Apple Watch®, you’ll need to double click to access your default card. Then hold the display up to the card reader.

If the merchant asks for a PIN, just enter it in their card reader, like you normally would.

What if I lose my phone?
If you ever lose your phone or device containing Apple Pay®, contact us right away. We’ll temporarily block your UMe card, and then remove it from Apple Pay®. That way, you don’t get hit with unauthorized charges.

You can also use the Find my iPhone® app to place your device in “Lost Mode.”
