A Small Change That Makes a Big Difference: Keeping Your Member Info Safer

Starting with your November statement (arriving in early December), UMe member numbers will now appear masked, showing only the last two digits.

This small update is part of our ongoing commitment to protect your personal information — especially as mail fraud and theft have seen a recent increase nationwide. By masking your member number, we’re helping reduce the risk of sensitive information being exposed if your statement is ever lost, stolen, or intercepted through the mail.

It’s a simple, yet powerful, way to keep your account details safer and give you added peace of mind.


Why This Change Matters

Mail theft has become a growing concern, with reports of stolen mail and check fraud on the rise. Even small bits of personal data can be valuable to fraudsters — which is why we’re staying ahead of the curve. Masking your member number is just one more way UMe helps protect your identity and strengthen the security of your financial information.

How to Access Your Account Numbers

To find your full account number in UMe Online Banking: login, go to your Dashboard, select the account you need, and choose Account Info

To find your full account number in the UMe Mobile App: login, select the account you want, tap the three dots in the corner of the account name, and choose Show Account Number.

If you haven’t already made the switch to eStatements, now is a great time! Electronic statements are faster, safer, and more secure than paper mail — and they reduce the risk of your information being accessed by anyone other than U.

With eStatements, your account information is protected behind your secure online banking login, where only you can access it. Plus, you’ll receive your statement sooner each month, with less paper waste and zero chance of mail delivery delays.

You can enroll in eStatements anytime by logging in to Online Banking or the UMe Mobile App and updating your preferences.


Enroll Today!

To enroll in eStatements, log in to Online Banking and head to the top navigation menu. On the far right, click More, then select eStatements. Review and agree to the Terms and Conditions, and click Enroll. We’ll send a Multi-Factor Authentication code to your email to confirm. Once you verify, you’ll have instant access to your eStatements — and you’ll be all set to receive them electronically from now on.
